Book’n Trilogy - May 22, 2010

What a great year for the Book’n Trilogy! Sure, we were all a bit nervous with the changes this year (OK, mostly me).  A new name.  Adding a 10K. Changing the Fun Run format, even adding a competitive walk.  And the rain!  Well, the rain held off, the 10K’ers stayed on track, the walkers walked (and quick too, I may add) and the kids had a great time; the 2010 Book’n Trilogy was a HUGE success!  Our participation was up over 40% from last year, and our 5K winner blew away our course record with a 15:25!  Scary fast!
 
Of course I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone that came out, and helped make our race a success.  And a very special thank you to our volunteers, who took their time just to make the event more enjoyable for the participants, as well as the South Lyon community including Police, Fire, Kiwanis and School District – thanks to all of you!  And of course a very special thank you to all of our sponsors!
